Air Transat complaint
In the event of delay or cancellation of your flight, European law imposes compensation to the passengers taking off from the European Union or having it as a destination.
However, since Air Transat is a Canadian airline, European regulations only apply when the flight is departing from the EU.

Legal experts to take charge of your steps
Sometimes the carrier fails to fulfill its obligations and refuses to compensate the passengers spontaneously. They are then required to make a claim first with the carrier and, if this does not succeed, with the competent authority in the country where the damage occurred.
We bring in legal experts to handle your case and act with the relevant authorities. If your file does not succeed, this service is totally free. If they succeed in getting you compensation for the damage, they take 30% commission on the amount that has been paid to you to cover our costs of procedure.

What compensation with Air Transat?
Depending on the size of the delay and the distance from the flight, Air Transat must guarantee passengers, free of charge: a refreshment, a meal, a hotel night, transportation to another airport or a delay of more than 5 hours and if the passenger renounces the trip, the reimbursement of his ticket.
This obligation of compensation applies for any delay of more than 2 hours for a distance up to 1500 km; more than 3 hours for flights within the EU over 1500 km and up to 3500 km for non-EU flights; more than 4 hours for flights over 3500 km.
In case of cancellation of flight or denied boarding, Air Transat must: either place the traveler on another flight, or refund his ticket.
Warning ! If the cancellation is not due to overbooking but to a case of force majeure (such as a weather event for example), the airline is not required to compensate the traveler.
